Easy Tools

Tool # 1 - Practice some form of FAITH. Living your life without having FAITH is like driving and not knowing where you are going. Start by having  the willingness to BELIEVE in a Power greater than yourself. Just try it!!

Tool #2 - Self-Care. Your well-being and self-care are a MUST. It should be non-negotiable. Start a practice of breathing, praying, meditating & journaling. Do some kind of activity like walking, going to the gym, hiking, playing pickle ball, bicycling. Do it just for today! Learn to create a daily self-care routine that works for you here!

Tool #3 - Practice forgiveness. Take a personal inventory and where you have been wrong, quickly admit it, then go say you are TRULY SORRY.  Make amends. You’ll feel a sense of release and freedom. When you do this your loved ones will almost always do the same thing back. Trust the process. Click here to read more about my forgiveness journey.

Tool #4 - Practice healthy detachment. When you are in an argument or a fight and it is only getting worse, do not say anything more and EXCUSE YOURSELF. Walk away immediately. I call it giving myself a "time out". Things will settle things down and not escalate any further. 

Tool #5 - Get present when you're feeling anxious. When you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious. Take 3 deep breaths. Focus in your breathing and see how you feel. Pray. Try calm. Focus on the present moment and think, "Whatever I am anxious about is NOT HAPPENING NOW." Put your mind where your feet are. This very moment is ALL you have.
